How to be Successful in Business - The Law of Success

How to be Successful in Business - The Law of Success

April is Mindset & Confidence month in The Notton House Academy Club and really focusing on what it takes to be successful in business.  There are 6 Laws of Success that all entrepreneurs and business owners need to abide by!  Do you know what they are?

First of all, let's determine what success means to you:

Google defines success as 'the accomplishment of an aim or purpose', but for many people that's just not a good enough answer.

So what does success really mean for you?

Do you define being successful in monetary terms?  When you reach a 6 figure salary or make your first million?  perhaps it's simpler than that for you.  Maybe financial success to you is having your debts paid off and making your mortgage repayments each month with money left to 'play' with.

Success doesn't always have to be financial though.

You can be successful emotionally, mentally or physically.  Success can be about power, fame, status or simply in being healthy and happy in your personal life.

Are you born successful?

How is it that some people seem to find success and others don't?  Are some pre-dispositioned for success?

Is it only 'rich people' that become successful?

There are many people in the world that become successful regardless of their background, so the answer is no, not ONLY rich people can enjoy a successful life and business.

One of the most popular and notable billionaires is the incredible Oprah Winfrey, who once said in a Forbes interview that she remembers not having electricity or running water growing up.  Oprah is now worth an estimated $2.8 billion.

Daniel Craig once slept on park benches in London and is now worth $45 million.

Remember 'Dr. Phil'?  Phil McGraw was 12 years old, homeless, and living in a car with his father.  He studied hard, received his Ph.D. and is now worth an estimated $400 million.

Millions of people all over the world believe that the Law of Attraction is one of the laws of having a successful and profitable business.

And it all starts with metaphysics!

Metaphysics is something you have probably heard a little about and perhaps remember something about it from your school days.

Metaphysics & The Law of Attraction

Metaphysics & The Law of Attraction

what is metaphysics?

The word 'metaphysics' comes from the ancient Greek word 'meta' which means 'beyond' and 'physics' (obviously!)

At its core, metaphysics is the deep exploration if our REALITY & UNIVERSE, beyond what we understand physics to be.

It deals with the first principles of things - such as being, knowing, identity, time and space - and the relationship between the mind, body, spirit and universe.

how does this relate to my business success?

I'm glad you asked!

Whether you believe in a God or the Universe, you understand that we all started from something.  Even if your view is that the world was created in a big bang as matter and energy exploded in on itself, the matter and energy had to come from somewhere.

We were all created and formed from something.

Wallace D Wattle calls this 'Original Substance' in his famous book The Science of Getting Rich.  It's also known as the 'source' or 'energy'.

Celebrities like Jim Carrey, Oprah, Henry Ford, Will Smith and many many others understand this 'original substance' is limitless, endless and the source of all creation.

Therefore, this means that there is enough success, riches, money, wealth and happiness for everyone to tap into.  It is an endless supply of everything you could want or need.

But you have to know how to tap into this source.

By understanding the source, by believing and being open to the Universal Laws you can define the laws of success and focus them on your business.

6 Laws of Success in Business - Pin me for later!

6 Laws of Success in Business - Pin me for later!

The law of success #1: divine Oneness

What is it?

If you've never heard of the Universal Laws before, just go with me for a moment and open your mind to understanding something new.

'Divine Oneness' means that all things are connected.  That we all originate from the same energy and life source (or 'Original Substance').  By using the term 'divine', I don't mean in a religious way, but instead it's used as a term to describe something beyond our current comprehension.

Why it matters to you:

Understanding this first law of success, this 'first principle' is core.  It means that you and your business have the exact same opportunities, abilities, tools, resources, money and knowledge as everyone else.  Those who have already become successful and those people who are just starting their companies or careers have the same foundations to build from.

The only difference is taking action and learning or using those foundations in your own life.

The law of success #2: reflection

What is it?

This universal law has four primary parts and shows us that traits we notice in other are only prominent because they mirror ourselves.

Here are the four primary elements:

  1. The traits you admire in other people are positive traits you recognise in yourself
  2. The traits you dislike in other people are traits you fear you have
  3. The traits you dislike and react to in other people are what you usually do have in your own personality
  4. The traits you resist in yourself are traits that you dislike in other people

Why it matters to you:

By understanding what you recognise in your family, friends, colleagues and peers, and noticing what you react to, can help you to understand your own personality, ethics and morals.

Your business is built on these ingredients so to grow a rewarding and prosperous business, you first have to understand yourself.

The law of success #3: law of attraction

What is it?

Probably the most well know Universal Law is the Law of Attraction.  It's also the most well known and most talked about Law of Success.

The basis of this rule is that 'like attracts like'.

So negativity attracts negativity, positivity attracts positivity.  We all have the ability to attract whatever energy we put out in the world, so it's fundamental that we surround ourselves with positivity as much as humanly possible.

Why it matters to you:

The Law of Attraction is vital to your business to ensure you always have a growth mindset.  You must welcome the experiences and changes that the universe provides for you and ask for what you want or need.

It may not happen immediately, or it may not happen in the way you think, but it will happen.  It's incredible what shows up in your life when you need it to.

Manifesting your Future - The 6 Laws of Success

Manifesting your Future - The 6 Laws of Success

the law of success #4: manifestation

What is it?

If, as this universal law suggests, everything comes from the universe (that 'original substance'), then everything must start as a thought in the mind in order for it to be created.

Think about this for a moment...

Can you name any one thing that has ever been created without it first being a thought?

A football pitch? - nope, someone had to think of a place where they could play a game of football which had markers and goals either end.

A pen? - nope!  Someone wanted to write a message and wanted something they could hold that flowed with ink as they wrote.

How about a burger? - unfortunately not!  In Texas, Fletcher Davis wanted to create a meat dish with bread, pickles and mustard.  In Connecticut, Louis Larson desired a fast easy meal and created the 'burger' with scraps of beef between two slices of toast (with cheese tomatoes and onions, just in case you're interested in burger history!)

It's impossible to create anything without first thinking about it!

Why it matters to you:

The Law of Manifestation states that what you believe in, becomes a reality.

Where you put your thoughts, your attention and your energy is directly related to your achievements and successes.  Your energy is connected to the energy of the universe which creates everything that we know as reality on Earth.

Although this may all sound a little 'woo' to you if you've never thought about it before, but give it some thought - and even better yet, test it out for yourself.

To clarify, I'm not saying that you simply close your eyes and wish for an overnight success, a brand new car of your dream home - you still have to take action and work to achieve your goals.

What I am saying however, is that the possibilities, opportunities and supply of knowledge, money, emotional happiness and physical 'stuff' is all there, available to you.

Which leads us on very nicely to the next law for a successful business!

Law of success #5: Action

What is it?

As we've just discussed, nothing in the world is created without first having it in your mind.  The next step here is of course to take action on that thought.

Fruit trees won't grow unless seeds are planted, nurtured and cared for.  Houses aren't built without good planning, people to work on them and land to develop on.

But when an idea or thought is held in the connected mind with clarity, a fixed purpose, belief, you are ready and prepared to take decisive, immediate and persistent action; what you ask for has only one possible outcome - to become a reality.

Why it matters to you:

To succeed in your business, you must take action every single day.  Each step you take, every decision you make brings you closer to achieving your goals.

the law of success #6: resistance

What is it?

Also referred to as the Law of Fear this is probably the hardest law to accept and overcome - which is in itself, the Law of Resistance at work!

The Law of Resistance relates to our fears and blocks in all aspects of our lives.  The only way to escape this, is to tackle those fears and detach yourself from them.

Why it matters to you:

Have you had money before and lost it all?  Do you find you overspend, get in debt or that money seems to simply slip through your fingers?

Perhaps you hold on so tightly to your money that you miss learning and growing in your business?

If any of these circumstances sound familiar to you, it's likely that you have a 'money block'.  This is one of the biggest and most common fears that you must work through in order to become profitable in your business.
